“This art exhibit is our third annual cultural arts showcase,” said Ms. Chavez.
“The cultural arts showcase is an opportunity for students to display work they’ve created throughout the year.”
The after-school exhibition featured artwork from painting, sculpture,
advanced painting, and AP art classes created by students all year long.
“We mostly picked at least one art piece for each student, whichever art piece they felt was the strongest,” Ms. Chavez said.
“Some students also had multiple pieces they wanted to display.”
The event was also designed to bring more students and families
into the exhibition and promote the school’s art program.
“My favorite part is getting more students to be involved in the actual exhibition,” Ms. Chavez said.
“I hope people can see what a strong program we have and be inspired by it.”
