Spring Break, Captain John L. Chapin’s Birthday and Prom
With the 2nd semester of the school year 2018-2019 halfway over, we are going into spring break. The 3rd nine weeks have just finished and grades are due. Spring break lasts one week from March 18 through March 22. The last day before spring break, Friday, March 15, 2019, was Captain John L. Chapin’s birthday. To celebrate, there were cupcakes served to everyone during both lunch periods. You were able to get as many as you wanted. Mostly everyone indulged in a delicious cupcake or two or even three or more during lunch to celebrate Captain John L. Chapin. Some students indulged a little too much as there was cupcake frosting smeared all over the floor tiles ranging from the cafeteria to the main rotunda.
When we come back from spring break, there is a week left before prom. Prom will be at the El Maida Shrine on April 6, 2019, from 8 pm to 12 am. Tickets will be $40 after spring break. They were original $30 the week before spring break. Go out there and make moves, shoot your shots with the people you want to take to prom before its too late. Promposals will be happening a lot now and that means your crush might get asked before you even have time to think about asking. If you don’t feel like asking someone, you could always go alone or with a group of friends. Underclassmen are welcome to prom this year, unlike the usual only upperclassmen, juniors and seniors. Go out there and make this year a banger especially if you’re a senior.
