The American Ideal
“What makes us Americans is our shared commitment to an ideal – that all of us are created equal, and all of us have the chance to make out of our lives what we will.”
- Barack Obama
This quote can be related to nearly everything in life. Whether it be school, work, or friends, we all have an equal opportunity and the chance to do anything.
In school you have the option of doing however well you want to, the effort you put in will reflect the grades you get back. You have the opportunity in every class to make the best grades you can, but it’s the self-motivation that will take you to that perfect A. Every student is given all the resources they need but it’s how each student utilizes those resources that makes a difference. If you are looking to be at the top of your class, you have to be able to self-manage yourself to greatness.
In work you are able to get any job or position you want but you have to ‘work’ for it. Just like in school you have to push yourself to excellence. If you are able to fill your responsibilities for your current job role you would soon sure be moved up in the corporate chain. But! It’s all up to you, to put in the work to get all these developments. Its’s up to you and only you to get yourself to succeed, if you believe you can do it, if you perform to the best of your abilities no one can stop you from doing what you want.
