The Fault in Our Stars is a heart-breaking love story between two teens with cancer. This book is not your typical romance story. John Green knows how to really capture reader’s attention and when you start reading it, you won’t want to put it down. The story is told through the eyes of Hazel Grace Lancaster, a 16 year old who is suffering with cancer. When her mom forces her to go to a cancer support group to help her deal with her illness, she encounters Augustus Waters. It was fate that brought the two together. They both shared an interest in endings and being remembered. These star-crossed lovers can’t escape fate.

John Green is the author of  this book and many other popular books among teen readers. In fact, Green has written 5 teen novels.  He maintains a Youtube account with his brother called the “vlog brothers.” His youtube isn’t all about his books, it has other random, nerdy stuff as well.  One of his books, “Looking for Alaska” was banned in many places because it was deemed “inappropriate” some parents said that the book was very sexual and sparked controversy all over.
