Brown Sugar Cake

New to baking? Want to try something new and simple but delicious? A brown sugar cake is the way to go. This brown sugar cake is extremely simple and customizable. The base cake ingredients are

2 ¼ cups of flour, ½ teaspoon baking powder, ½ teaspoon salt, 1 ½ cups packed light brown sugar, ¾ cup granulated sugar, 1 cup butter, softened, 4 eggs, 2 teaspoons vanilla, ¾ cup milk. In a large mixing bowl, pour the brown sugar, butter and eggs. Begin to mix with purpose. Add vanilla then soon after flour. Mix once again until one solution.

Before baking, is where you can make it your own. Chocolate or butterscotch chips go well in the batter. Any nuts can also be an exotic but excellent choice.

Pour in pan coated with butter. Pre-heat your home oven to 350 F then bake the cake batter for 1 hour. You’ll have to let it sit at room temperature for at least 2 hours. After cooling, there are multiple options for coating. A common choice is leaving it dry but classic cake frosting works as well. Making a brown sugar or fruit Driesell is also a nice addition.

Remember to use baker’s edict and keep your kitchen / body clean while making this great article of food. It is also very important to not undercook or overcook the cake. Use a tooth pick to see its density. But most important of all, have fun and learn new cooking skills!
