The El Paso Independent School District (EPISD) hosted its annual All-District Athletic Banquet on Wednesday, recognizing student-athletes from across the district who earned First Team All-District honors during the school year.
The event celebrated athletes from a variety of varsity sports, including softball, baseball, basketball, soccer, volleyball, track and field, and more. Students selected for First Team All-District received certificates honoring their performance, dedication, and contributions throughout their seasons.
Athletes, coaches, school staff, and families gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of some of EPISD’s top-performing student-athletes. Coaches said earning All-District recognition reflects not only athletic ability, but also leadership, consistency, and hard work throughout the year.
The banquet was organized with support from the district’s coaches association, which works to recognize athletic achievement and encourage sportsmanship among student-athletes across EPISD. Coaches from multiple schools attended the event to present certificates and congratulate athletes for their accomplishments during the season.
In addition to certificate presentations, the banquet included speeches from coaches and district representatives recognizing the dedication and achievements of student-athletes throughout EPISD. Seniors also received acknowledgment as they prepare to graduate and move on to future opportunities.
The formal event gave athletes from different schools and sports programs the opportunity to come together and celebrate the success of the season. As the school year begins to wrap up, many viewed the banquet as a way to recognize not only awards and accomplishments, but also the teamwork, discipline, and commitment shown by athletes throughout the year.
