Making History
The boys’ soccer team won the first title ever for the Chapin High School. After 14 games played in the season, they got the district title with a record of 12 wins and only 2 games lost, with a team led by 8 seniors who say goodbye to their last year as champions. “It was for something that we fought and worked very hard since the school year began, coming to train before 5:30 in the morning, giving our best in each practice and knowing that with the talent we had in the team we had not only hope but also obligation to get the title.” commented the captain of the team Miguel Madrid. After beating the Burges school, the team officially established itself as district Champions, being the best offense with 37 goals in 14 games and also being one of the best defenses of the season with only 9 goals conceded, they continued their path in the Play-offs against the Parkland school and also achieving another achievement for this generation which was to get the Bi-District title. Coach John Gallegos dedicated a few words to the team “A huge congratulations to the entire team on your achievements this season. You left a legacy that will be remembered, and Seniors thank you for all the memories. It was a fun four years.” Thus ending a successful season that is marked by the entire history of the school, being the first Boys Soccer team to win a title.
