The game had ended in a win leading the team on to the area game. Coaches. Cody Logsdon, Miller, and Stephanie Morales held the trophy together after the game.
The team lined up to walk to the center of the field for the playing of the national anthem. They posed for the picture having a little bit of fun before they had to play for the win.
The starting line up went to center field lining up with the refs and other team. They stood there facing their parents minutes before the game started.
Senior Scarlet Molinar runs to the ball to clear it our of defense and get it to midfield. She cleared it fast, before the pressure from Americas got to her. “I think my team did an amazing job, I think we did a fantastic job for how we did,” Scarlet said.
Sophomore Nadia Marquez runs to keep the ball in and away from the americas defense. She sent in a cross that assisted Jocelyn Diaz, who had a volley into the goal.
Sophomore Jocelyn Diaz celebrates the first Bi-district goal, and her fifth goal of the season. She celebrated by making a heart with her hands and jumping up and down with the excitement from scoring a goal.
The players went into a huddle celebrating another goal in the first half. They were now up two points with two minutes and twenty two seconds left in that half.
Junior Stephanie Agullera takes the ball from the Americas player and takes off dribbling it down the field. She got the ball up to Nadia Marquez on the wing who then crossed it in. “It was a very intense game but I’m glad we came out on top, it was definitely the outcome we wanted,” Stephanie said.
Just like that the game was over we had won Bi-District and now have the trophy to prove it. Everyone gave it their all and we came out on top. “It was a close match, but we fought hard for it, and i’m happy it was able to be 3-0,” junior Ivanna Cho said.
The win was in their hands and they now get to go on to area ready for their next fight. The game was over and it was time to husky up, but now with the new addition of the Bi-District trophy.
