I got this. Senior Alan Mascorro fights to get the ball away from one of Franklins players. He got the ball from in front of the players foot. “I believe I preformed pretty good,” Alan said. He got the only goal that game.

Cross it. Senior Logan Zimmer gets the ball again in the other teams defense. He dribbled past some of the defense trying to cross it into the box to help his team get a point. Logan said “my performance was good as always it could have been better but I can’t complain on my overall performance,” said Logan he made some good passes into the box and passes out side of the box that lead to shots on Franklins goal.

Get it up. Senior Alex Castaneda takes a free kick to get the ball up, at this point they were already down some points. After the game when he was asked if he thought they were better than the other team and if the other team was bad. He said “I think every team is good and I can’t say anything bad about them there were just a couple mistakes made on our end,”He said.

Push up. Senior Hector Valdiviezo gets awarded a goal kick. He told his teammates to push up so they would have a chance to get the ball toward the other goal.

Clear it. Senior Victor Becerra clears the ball up to the forward and midfield lines. He cleared the ball and got it up to give them a chance at goal.

Get it. Senior Luis Mendez passes the ball to one of his teammates on the wing. The pass went to the other player allowing them to go forward.

Press. The ball gets passed to Senior Victor Becerra on the defense line. He passed it back allowing them to press up to delay the other teams attack.

Go to goal. Senior Daniel Arellano gets the ball and pushes it up. Daniel was playing at outside back so he went to run the line going to goal with the ball

Protect it. Junior Rogelio Myers keeps the ball away from the Franklin player pressuring him. He pushed the ball up while keeping it away from pressure, it was his first varsity game he was playing defense. ” I think I did okay, not the best in reality if I played defense position and let 5 goals get past me but I don’t try to beat myself up about it, I’d rather take the game to learn,” said Rogelio.

Reset. Chapin was scored on again, Senior Logan Zimmer was playing striker. He went back to half field to reset the ball and give them a chance to get a goal and keep Franklin at bay from scoring.
