Weeks into the school year, many freshmen are still waiting to receive their student identification cards. School IDs are typically used for identification, campus access, and participation in certain school activities. As of now, several students report that IDs have not yet been issued, affecting daily routines on campus.
Freshman Leilah Ardella said the delay has made some school activities more difficult.
“I haven’t gotten my ID yet, and it’s confusing because teachers sometimes ask for it,” Ardella said.
Student IDs are often required for verification during school events and for accessing specific areas. Without them, students rely on verbal confirmation or alternative methods provided by staff.
Freshman Robert Moore said the situation has caused uncertainty among students.
“A lot of people are still asking when we’re supposed to get our IDs, but no one really knows the exact date,” Moore said.
According to students, information about the ID distribution timeline has been limited. Some freshmen said they expected IDs to be issued early in the school year.
Freshman Nigel Salnave said not having an ID has affected organization and preparedness.
“It feels like something important is missing since we’re supposed to carry it every day,” Salnave said.
School IDs are commonly used to help staff identify students and maintain campus procedures. As students continue to wait, they rely on updates from teachers and administrators regarding when IDs will be distributed.
