The thermostats in the classrooms are not very useful, because the controlling of the temperature is out of control from teachers. Custodians control the temperature that the rooms are set at which is set right in the middle making it not too cold or not too hot.

“There are three main thermostats that control the buildings temperature one in between each rotunda,” said Ms. González.

The school temperature has been noticeably hot in most of the classes. Complaints have been made by students and teachers regarding on how hot the upstairs building has been.

“The temperature upstairs is the hottest because the way it works is that temperature rises, “said sophomore Stephanie Torres.

The temperature being high can cause students to not be focused on school work and can lead to health problems as well.

“I feel like we need better air conditioner because I get headaches in the heat, and the teachers have to open the windows,” said sophomore Mia Martinez.

Although high temperatures roam the school, not all classes or buildings are hot. This all depends on the location and if it is located up or down stairs.

“My basketball coaches’ classrooms upstairs in D and G hall are very cold and have been the coldest to me, said sophomore Isa Armijo.

Students ask for the district needs to think about the outside temperature and class temperature differences, and put working thermostats in classrooms.

“The district just needs to look into better thermostats for our safety but also just in general,” sophomore Mia Martinez.
