Cafeteria Debate

Students discuss how they feel about school provided lunch.

Breakfast and lunch are provided free for students every day and whilst there are complaints, students can still have positive things to say about it.

“Overall, the food is pretty good, there’s some specific meals I might swap out for something else,” sophomore Alysa Johnson said, “But compared to previous schools, this tops it.”

Not every student eats the free lunch from school, and would rather go out and buy some.

“Personally, I usually go to the shopette or a random fast-food joint.”  junior Dylan Garcia said. “If I were to rate the school’s food, I’d say it’s a 3 out of 5 overall.”

There are some students who like specific meals from the school, but can’t find a source to rely on ahead of time.

“I think it depends on what is being served, and the online website I use to check isn’t reliable.” freshman Jamie Sanchez said.

Students are growing tired of the same meals being cycled through and want to mix things up.

“I understand it’s not easy to make lunch every day for all the students, but we should be able to request different meals or to trade one out for another.” Dylan Garcia said.
