Winter showcase to meet the Huskies

In an exciting twist, a member of the varsity soccer team lunges to topple the opposing tower just as the basketball team attempts to secure their fifth and final box. The defensive strategy of the basketball squad was cut short when their stack was knocked over during the final seconds of the challenge. This win-or-lose moment required the soccer team to successfully disrupt their opponent’s progress to prevent them from completing the five-box height.

Balloon popping time. Contestants picked from the cheer team volunteered to compete by sitting on each other’s laps to pop the balloons, and whoever pops all of the balloons first, wins. Later through the game, one of the cheer volunteers fell to the floor while trying to pop a balloon, and the whole crowd bursted into laughter.

In a dramatic turn of events, the varsity basketball team reacts with disbelief as their tower is toppled during the final moments of the stacking challenge. After nearly reaching the required five-box goal, the squad watched their progress disappear when the opposing soccer team successfully disrupted the stack. The unexpected shift from a potential victory to defeat left students in the stands clutching their heads in shock as the competition reached its conclusion

In an intense round of musical chairs, junior Jorgie Martinez successfully secures his seat as the music stops. The competition required participants to remain alert and react quickly to claim one of the few remaining chairs on the gym floor. Martinez’s fast reflexes allowed him to move on to the next round while his competitors were eliminated from the game.

The greatest game of Musical Chairs. Jocelyn Diaz dramatically takes a seat while everyone rushes to find a free chair. Nonetheless, one of the soccer boys took her seat during the next round, which caused her to be eliminated from the game.

Proud to be part of  girls soccer. Everyone was enjoying themselves and letting loose, but also nervous for their first district game against El Paso High next Friday. “I already feel part of the team, having just transferred from El Paso High, I’ve already made so much friends,” junior Kailani Leon Guerrero said.

Get the bark on, the dance team walks out to the front for our proud parents, supporters, and students. They performed to the song “Thunderstruck” by the rock band AC/DC.
