The handball tournament is happening on the 15 and 16 at the wall ball courts. Students were approached by assistant principal Jose Carlos one week before Thanksgiving break.  

Mr. Carlos will be the one organizing the event and overseeing the tournament and working with other schools. 

“I’m really confident about me and my teammate winning,” junior Angel Aguilar said. “We practice every day at lunchtime.” 

The students participating in the event are apparently very excited, much like junior Alan Garcia. 

“We don’t have that many teams right now, but we are trying to get enough teams to qualify,” Alan said. 

Mr. Carlos told the participants that they should start practicing for when they start playing against other schools after their own tournament. 

“I would obviously like our school to win,” assistant principal Mr. Carlos said. “I will be happy with anything that happens and at the end of the day, it’s just about having fun.”
