Recently at Chapin High School there is a petition of keeping a teacher, Mr. Calderon him from leaving this school. Student are creating these petitions and students are voting for him to stay, because they think that what administration is doing is dumb and that he did nothing wrong.

It is said that he had put his “opinion” about Jeffrey Epstein on his exemption forms for the students. It was barely even noticeable and you had to look very closely so see his opinion. He teaches AP physics and students say he’s a very good teacher and that his students see him as a role model.

Currently right now he is being reassigned so he is not teaching at Chapin High School. What he did seemed to be his opinion and students are saying that he shouldn’t. A student at this school whose name is Aylin styles(Rivas) stated a petition on her Instagram that has 1,900 and more signs for him to stay at this school because his students need him. Everyone is also putting hashtags on social media saying “Justice for Mr. Calderon.”

Students are using their voices for Mr. Calderon to stay teaching at Chapin High School which is amazing and administration should rethink the actions they are doing to Mr. Calderon career and know that he has the right to state his own opinions.

What student are doing is not wrong because they have the right to make petitions to help Mr. Calderon and keep his job. He’s known to be a good teacher and is not a bad person and should be able to keep his job since this was known to be the only time something like this has ever happened.
