The new day for Senior Sunrise is September 9th .” I’m glad it got moved cause I didn’t wanna be sitting on the wet turf.” Cesar Javalera said.

Students hope for better weather, giving them the opportunity to experience a memorable Senior Sunrise.

Cancelling the event wasn’t all bad according to Andrea Nuñez. “I was happy when they postponed senior sunrise because I was sick at the time, and I wasn’t going to be able to go.” Andrea Nuñez said. The postponement gave students an additional 3 weeks to prepare for the event.

The event started at 5:40 in the morning. Due to some inconvenient clouds the sunrise wasn’t visible till later. As Students arrived, they sat down with their friends on the field.

Throughout the event students sat down and admired the sunrise with their friends. The cool weather filled the atmosphere with a relaxing energy. For the most part it was partially cloudy.

Many brough snacks, drinks, and blankets according to Cesar. “Seeing everyone sitting down in their pjs in addition to the pinksh sky created a really cozy vibe” Cesar Javalera said.

At around 6:30 they began giving out breakfast and soon after that most students left the field.

Days before senior Sunrise, the event was postponed unit September 9th . A few consecutive days of rain was enough for the Event to be cancelled for the planed date of august 19.  On their last school year senior have the opportunity to witness a sunrise together as a class.

The rearrangement of date didn’t work for everyone, even causing some students to miss the new senior sunrise. “I’m not going to be able to go to the new senior sunrise, but I don’t mind too much.” Alexa Elias said.
