Hunting Season Pep Rally

The annual hunting season pep rally dated back to the early 2006. Every football season when the big rivalry game comes up we have a pep rally. This pep rally is to hype the school up for the  football game that Friday against Andress high school. This year we divided the pep rallys into two because of the amount of the kids that attend our school and our gyms capacity of 1,400. The pep rally was also free as a reward to the students from the principle for good behavior.

To start off the pep rally we had a performance from the legends dance team.

“I was so nervous to go out there and preform our dance”, senior Kaylah McKane said. “I went out there and preformed twice for my last hunting season pep rally.”

Next was the dance battle between the husky and the eagle mascots. This is the first time it had ever been done. After the dance battle they then did the cupid shuffle.

“It was so much fun going out there and beating the eagle in a dance battle”, senior Jasmin Holt said. “It was so hot in that costume though”.

After the dance battle the band concluded the first pep rally with the fight song.

“I love doing the fight song at the end of everything”, junior Miguel Fraire said. “I love the way everyone stands up and gets involved.”

The second pep rally started at 3:20, due to more time allotted, more events took place.

“I went to both pep rallies and the second one was more action filled”, senior Iliana Ramos said. “It had so much more and the lights were off and it was way more fun.”

The senior Yoshua Yhisreal captain of the football team, hyped us up for the game.

“I went up there and told them to come out and support”, Yoshua said. “Its my last game and last hunting season game so I wanted everyone to come out and have a good time.”
