The Clean House

The+Clean+House

Setting of the theatre is low talking people walking in, the students getting ready to perform the performance they’ve been practicing for, the theatre president comes to the front of the audience and introduces us to the performance and tells us they  worked very hard on this production, she leaves the stage and the intermission starts until finally the theater goes black and the actors come to the stage and start their opening lines, three girls  Matilde, Lane, and Virginia. Matilde is a Brazilian woman who recently lost her parents due to her mom dying from laughter and after her mothers’ death, her father had commit suicide. She moved from Brazil to the states to work for Lane a successful doctor who is married to another Doctor (Charles). And Lanes older sister Virginia says she doesn’t think people are crazy if they clean their own house but if people count on a maid to clean their house for them. Matilde says she doesn’t like cleaning so Virginia offers to clean her sisters’ house when she is at work.

The production was amazing, the cast nailed their lines perfectly, the lighting for each of the scenes was absolutely phenomenal. Mr. Ritchey and the Worklight Theatre Company did an extraordinary job with the play.
