Tarantino to Shoot Manson Movie with Sony

The battle for which studio is going to get to produce the new Tarantino movie has been won by Sony. The award-winning director of Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs, and Django Unchained recently had to part ways with the long-time production company Miramax, co-founded by Harvey Weinstein, after Weinstein was caught in the center of Hollywood sexual misconduct scandals. Sony showed their ability to market movies at a worldwide scale and wining over the competitor Warner Brothers.

The right to release the upcoming Tarantino movie was heavily contested by every major studio except Disney, who opted out because of the films R rating. Quentin Tarantino is considered one of the top movie directors of all time and all studios were willing to take a gamble as all of his films are sure classics and Academy Award contenders.

The upcoming Tarantino film was originally rumored to be based on the Manson family murders however over more explanation he has revealed the film will be focused on the year 1969 and will feature the Manson murders.

The untitled Tarantino film has a release date of August 9, 2019 and will be on the special anniversary date of the murder of Sharon Tate from the accomplices of Charles Manson.
